Happy September!

Is it still Summer in Seattle? It is like someone flicked the switch and the rainy season has returned. There are still a few festivals, and September is one of the best months for hiking. Cooler weather and yummy huckleberries make it all worth while.

On the Sports scene: The Seattle Seahawks football team has finished their pre-season games. It should be an interesting year, with new coach Pete Carroll and some significant lineup changes. Certainly they cannot be worse than they were the last couple of years.

The Mariners are still playing games, but what a disappointing season. It is still a great experience to be at the ballpark, hoping to catch a fly ball from a local favorite like Ichiro or Gutierrez...

Have you seen the Seattle Sounders F.C. in action? This is kick-ass soccer! The talent is impressive. They hussle way more than any soccer team I have ever seen in Seattle, and they are drawing sellout crowds at every game. For good reason. They are a championship team.

The Seattle Storm, women's basketball team are undefeated at home and are unstoppable!
